Summary: Video Now Color 2006-12-12
Comment: I first it worked and I loved it. I bought a video color and in a few months it stopped working. It would turn off when I was watching the fairy godparents and this ticked me off. Trust me you do not want to buy this, I wasted 50 bucks on it when it first came out!! Do NOT waste your money on it.

Comment: For all of those people who are still stuck with the original video now, COME BACK TO PLANET EARTH! The video now color just landed! Keep your original video now, IF YOU LIKE TO WATCH SHOWS IN BLACK AND WHITE!
The video now color is waaaaay much better than the original. I didn't get the original because I knew that I color version was going to come out in the future. It has better shows on it too. Like Drake and Josh and the Amanda show.
It has a bigger screen than the original. It has a backlit display so you can watch your favorite shows in the dark. Once again, PEOPLE WITH THE ORIGINAL, COME BACK TO PLANET EARTH! THE VIDEO NOW COLOR JUST LANDED!

Summary: Give it a chance! 2005-01-16
Comment: I keep seeing reviews saying that for the money by a portable dvd player, and although I understand their point, My 3 year old wouldn't have the freedom to take it with him everywhere! I've always had trouble keeping my 3 year old entertained while my 5 year old was at his Tae Kwon Do class, but last week he sat their during class watching his video now and smiling, laughing out loud to his Jimmy Neutron video. This brought such a smile to my face, as I am normally dealing with a very antsy toddler. I do sympathize with the battery issue. I have found them not to last as long as I'd like, however there is always the option to purchase the car adapter or recharable batteries, which we've learned to do with many of our other electronic toys. The variety of pvd's available is wonderful too. To my surprise my 5 year old's favorite video is the Discovery Channels Dinosaur Plant, he keeps telling me things I never even knew. I think it's wonderful they offer fun as well as educational video opportunities. As for the blank screens some people have referred to, that usually occurs as the batteries run down. Try replacing them before returning.

Summary: Don't waste Your money 2004-11-28
Comment: This product is a waste of money. The whole marketing strategy is to come out with an ok model, then the next year come out with a newer better model to bribe people with the older one to get a new one every time the manufature comes out with a better model. So buy something worth your money like a Game Boy Advanced SP that way you have a larger light-up screen and you can also play games.

Comment: Ok, so we've all heard-"I want my video now!", well I want my videos and games on the same machine. Why spend the same amount on ONLY a videonow color player when you can buy a GBA [game boy advance {SP}] for like what? Ten dollars extra? GBAs have bigger screens and can play games. Plus a GBA has great sound. So why get a videonow?
