I don't understand why these headphones are getting such poor reviews. I'm an avid in-ear monitor user, and I think these are fantastic. Most people complaining about comfort don't seem to be used to wearing in-ear monitors. It's definitely a feeling that takes some time to get used to, but the advantages are much better bass production than regular ear-buds and the ability to block outside noise. With less outside noise, you will listen at lower volume, which is much better for your hearing.

I find that these headphones provide great sound. The main cord is too short for most applications, but it's great if you carry your MP3 player on your torso. The extension cable pretty much solves that issue anyway. The extension adds a bit of weight to the cable, but I don't find that bothersome in the least. The top class of earbuds with great bass are: NuForce ne-600/700, Brainwavz M-series, Thinksound, Soundmagic, Bose and meelectronics with putting aside Klipsch 4 or even Monster Turbine. And another nice ones with also great bass are those Shure SE215, Grado iGi, Vsonic GR99, JVC Xtreme-Xplosivs.

On the other hand, if there are even better ones than those top class earbuds are: TDK BA100 and Future Sonics Atrio. And the phones have greatest bass among all earbuds and headphones are: Future Sonic Atrio and GRADO PS500. If there are greatest phones which have possessed even more natural sound than natural one itself are those TDK BA100 and LCD-2/3.

These comfortable in-ear buds provide good quality sound and excellent noise canceling. The package includes a short extension cord, following the example of the Shure SE310 Shure SE310 Sound Isolating Earphone - White to which I compared the TDK's to. The TDKs provide a big, bombastic sound in contrast to the Shure's more subdued effort. If you like your music played at 11, you might well prefer the TDKs. If you instead prefer to hear all the details in your music, you may prefer the Shures.

The bottom line is that any in-ear bud is a vast improvement over stock headphones. On the other hand, you must be extremely careful to listen on low volumes and be aware of your surroundings when wearing these earbuds as they do cancel out EVERY noise.
