It took me a while to figure out how to get music on this Mp3 player, but once I figured it out it has been wonderful! Love it!

Loved the idea of an all-in-one mp3, voice recorder and flash drive with USB connector. Turns out, the idea is mostly all there is to love about this gadget. In reality, because the unit is designed to be the size of a flash key, the screen is too small to see easily, and the wheel navigation is plastic and clumsy at best. The instructions are not sufficient enough and the text is too small to read without a magnifying glass. Recordings are difficult to hear clearly, even at the highest volume. It does play mp3s reasonably well, but again volume is an issue. All in all, this is definitely one of those "you get what you pay for" deals.

We ordered two of these for our kids. On the plus side they haven't broken, and seem to work all right. Built in microphone is a nice touch. Tuning on/off in to an external hi-Fi amplifier seems to have very little "thunk" which is nice. I expect this might vary unit-unit though.
This player is bulky, such that you would guess that it would have an FM tuner, or larger high density display. Alas it has neither. The navigation is terrible, as others have pointed out. It should be intuitive given all the similar products out there. You will likely need the instructions to figure out most features...even simple navigation.
Product is branded Sylvania, but all information is available from Curtis. For this unit, there is no firmware update available online. Mine are running CD722_2053__v1.5 (2010/08/23). I have had some issues with a "Object not Found!" error when recording...it's intermittent.
These apparently will not play back .wav files, which means you...Read more
