Summary: SOFTWARE CORRUPT and WORST CUST. SERVICE! 2010-07-30
Comment: This is a "NEVER AGAIN." So, dear review reader, please take our advice and DON'T BUY IT the first time. Please Google "Sony Walkman Software Corruption." Be sure to read the 2006 article where Sony "admits the software has problems." Well guess what, it's 2010 and the software still STINKS! Our brief (and still pending) episode with Sony went like this:
We (hubby & I) bought 2 Walkmans (8G and 16G). Loved them...for one whole month
ERROR! Software connection Issue
Returned at store of purchase, got 2 replacement devices
ERROR! Software Connection Issue (on the 8G device).
Store of purchase says we must contact Sony.
Mailed Sony faulty device, Proof Purch, Original Receipt, etc.
Approved for refund (within 1 YR warranty period)
A month goes by...
Another month...
Another month...
Another month...
STILL WAITING! NO device and NO money back
In the meantime, second device has also failed.
Moral of the story: DON'T BUY IT! Just pay the extra $$$ for a nice iPod and be done with it. When we had an iPod issue, the iStore people fixed it SAME DAY and IN STORE.

Summary: How to put video on the Sony Walkman NWZS545 player 2010-07-25
Comment: I have had a very difficult time both in trying to put video in the correct format on this mp3 player and trying to format video to put on this player. Here is the solution.
Make sure you update the transfer software that is already installed on the player.
Download the latest version of realplayer. It's free, and it comes with video download (for Youtube videos!) and formatting.
After you select a video, and you have either uploaded it from a disc or downloaded it from the internets, use realplayer to download the video and then convert it.
Select WMV for the format you want to convert to. It's downloaded in FLV, but it won't display as FLV on the player. It will play WMV
Next, attach your player to the computer and when the transfer content box comes up, select the videos you want to put on your player. It will list all the videos in the real folder in My Videos. It's that easy!

Summary: Love the look, space, and ability to share the music! 2010-07-22
Comment: I bought this for my husband's birthday and we both love it overall. There is so much space on it he can listen to it for hours and hours! It is beautiful but we wish the screen had some kind of plastic covering. Because he works outdoors, the screen got a little scratched up quickly-- even in an arm sleeve. I also didn't like how easily it turned on when in my purse. One of my favorite features is how easy it is to do voice recording, and the ability to play the music through speakers! You have to switch it back to headphones afterward but it makes it easy to share music and voice recordings!

Summary: Very Pleased 2010-07-03
Comment: I am very happy with this mp3 player. No problems. Great sound, easy to see screen. I was a bit disappointed that the play lists actually used up memory on the player itself. This was not the case on my last two mp3 players. However, on the up side, my other players' play lists could not be transferred to other mp3 brands. Since I created the play lists on Windows Media, all my work would not be lost should I choose another player that uses Windows Media.
