The Sony® AIR-SA20PK S-AIRTM PLAY transmits your stored music throughout your home with plug-and-play simplicity using the included S-AIR Dock and two AIR-SA15R receiver/speakers2. The Dock for iPod® can also transmit two signals simultaneously so that one speaker can play your iPod music while the other plays an AM/FM radio station. The S-AIR PLAY is compatible with most iPod1 models. Included wireless remotes for the Dock for iPod and for each speaker give you control over the music. Additionally, each speaker includes controls for volume and the audio source, an LCD Display that lets you track info, and a convenient clock and alarm.

Summary: Great Product, Awesome price. 2010-08-28
Comment: I originally bought this item as a bedroom ipod dock. When it arrived, I realized that the speakers were quite large and used Sony's S-Air, which I thought was curious because my home theatr system's wireless rear speakers use the same thing. So before I even set up the ipod dock, I put one of the speakers on the same frequency as my home theatre system... It worked beautifully! I ended up having to buy an extra speaker so that this thing could be used for it's intended purpose. I now have sound from my home theatre system in my kitchen from which you can see my tv, great for when I'm cooking something. I can also flip switch on the back of the speakers and listen to the ipod dock in multiple rooms. I hve not had any problems with S-Air signal strength as other reviewers have had, although I live in a relatively small space (speakers are about 35 feet from the bases and one of them goes through two walls). Furthermore, I saw this item at Sam's Club yesterday and it cost 90 dollars more than what I paid on Amazon.

Comment: I wanted a desktop stereo with good sound that would play and charge my iPhone, and found this previously more expensive unit for $165, which was able to fit that and also offer two good wireless speakers so you can fill a lot more space if you want. You can also have the speakers in two different rooms than either themselves or the main unit, good for entertaining.
The alarm function is kind of hard to access on the center unit, and if the iPhone is plugged in to the charger, its own alarm won't play through the speakers by itself. This may be because I often have my phone in silent mode, though. So if you're ok with a less-than-idiotproof alarm, it's still got lots of good value.
The iPhone doesn't 'recognize' the charging accessory, but the phone still rings and lights up for texts and push notifications.
The alarm function is kind of hard to access on the center unit, and if the iPhone is plugged in to the charger, its own alarm won't play through the speakers by itself. This may be because I often have my phone in silent mode, though. So if you're ok with a less-than-idiotproof alarm, it's still got lots of good value.

Comment: These speakers work well. Set up was a snap, quality is decent, and the distance I got was pretty good. I have to admit I was a little disappointed in the sound quality when I first set them up but the more I listened to them, the more I like them (these are not full size, room-filling, hard-core speakers after all). If you take them for what they are (small, wireless speakers that help you move your music to other rooms and outside) you won't be disappointed.
I read reviews saying that wireless internet can effect the quality of the speakers but I didn't have any issues with that. All in all, really solid speakers.
I am impressed that you can pair these with a Sony S-Air compatible home theater system and use them as wireless surround speakers or as another source for the speakers.
