3.0 out of 5 stars Great, once I got it going, June 27, 2009

This thing is so tiny. It's only 1 ¼" x 3" and weighs 1.5 ounces with the battery. It actually comes with AAA battery. No need for charging.

I had a hard time getting it to work. The driver wouldn't install on my Windows XP system. Something about an invalid INF file. As I searched the web for a solution, I found that was a common problem. I finally installed a file named Microsoft_User-Mode_Driver_Framework_Install-v.1.0-WinXP.exe (sorry, links to other sites aren't allowed in our reviews) and Windows Media Player 11 (I had 10); and afterwards, I was able to install the drivers. Maybe that will help others.

There are lots of nifty little extras. The player came with stereo earbuds which are comfortable and the music is clear. I can listen to the radio and record my voice. It comes with an armband and a plastic case.

I wish I could load music with a card. Instead, I have to connect via USB port. Shuffling the music around has to be done via...Read more

So the other day I decided to breakdown and purchase an MP3 player. My first choice was to look at the ipods and see what they had to offer. I liked the ipod shuffle because of its size, but it was lacking. What is great about the Sansa m240 is that it has the same memory, BUT it has a display, FM tuner, and a voice recorder. These were not the main features that caught my attention though. The nice thing about the Sansa m240 is that it takes a AAA battery that lasts about 17-18 hours, and doesn't need the fruity itunes format. I have a ton of MP3's on my PC and I don't want to spend my time converting them in any way. All one needs to do is plug in the usb port and drag the tracks you want. Simple as that. It's a small player and is lightweight. I'm glad they were sold out of the 1gb ipod shuffles because I'm not a big fan of Apple products. Apple is like the metric system in the computer world, it's simple to convert but everyone else is standard.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sandisk Sansa M240, January 24, 2012
This review is from: SanDisk Sansa M240 (New components in plain brown box) (Electronics)
My mom got me this mp3 player like 3 or 4 years ago. Really good. I do think the price is over priced here. My mom got it super cheap for like $15. Amazing for that price. I had it for about a year, it worked really good, a few glitches if I'm remembering right. But, I had it in my back pocket and sat on it, so the screen is the same as gone. I still listen to the radio with it today though, I bet the rest of it would work too, if I would learn how to find stuff with the broken screen.
But, my mom also got 4 of nieces and nephew them (they are the same age as me) and theirs broke less then 6 months later. So, I don't know if it's just a 5 out of 1 get a good one or if they didn't take very good care of it. As for my opinion amazing mp3 for 15 dollars not $130.
