best MP3 player, but for one fault,

This is the only one of four MP3 players i tried that had acceptable sound quality. All the others; Rio, RCA, Nike had a strange high pitched noise no matter what the source of the audio files. The Yepp does not, and the WOW sound is really quite good. The only problem is that no matter how you put songs into thae player, it plays them back in alphabetical order. This drove me crazy. The only solution to this is to put each album(or collection of songs) in its own folder and copy them using windows explorer. Then each folders songs are in order. other than that problem this is the best MP3 player you can get for the money.

Pros: compact size, light weight, great sound, price, long battery power
Cons: flimsy USB cover, no armband, confusing software
This is my second MP3 player, and I have used YP-T5V for a short time but I am very satisfied with it. The sound quality is excellent, and it has been very convenient to carry it around while I'm lifting weights. Unlike my older MP3 player, it did not freeze or lock-up. It is so small and light that it fits anywhere. The radio works perfectly, and I have used the Yepp to record lectures and as storage device to store document files. Its programmed equalizer features are great, especially "WOW." Earphones were better than I expected. I like the fancy changing of LCD colors also. I was debating between this and iRiver iFP-790, which has very similar features but a little bigger and pricier. When I got a $30 off coupon from Staples, I had to get this Samsung one. $120 for a 256MB MP3 player cannot be turned down, you know? It is amazing how...Read more

Since I used everyone else's reviews to choose my MP3, I should write my own review now that I have it. I could not decide between this unit and the I-River models, but now that I have it I think I made a good choice. Since everyone wants to know the bad side of the products, here are my only gripes.
The cover for the USB cable will probably break off, and it is not doesn't open while in the case, so you have to take it out of the case and fumble with the cover to connect to the PC
Being so small it can be hard to fumble with the buttons while on the move.
The plastic case itself is difficult to put on and off and will probably break.
The little earbud headphones sound pretty good for a throw-in pair, but there is enough cord to jump rope with, which will be awkward to jog with. I will probably buy another set instead.
I like the neck strap, it is higher quality than I was expecting, but I still would preffer an armband for...Read more
