RCA SOUND SYSTEM FOR iPod, iPhone and iPad

This unit is nice. Very nice. Weighing in at seven pounds with measurements of 19.2 x 5.3 and 10 inches, this upright unit will pretty much fit anywhere in your room of choice -- on a desk, shelf, table, or it is even capable of being mounted on your wall. Also included is a remote control for easy on/off when you are too comfortable to move. The remote also includes volume controls. There is also an audio line in jack. You may even set up alarms to start your day or wake up from that nap.

This unit charges your iPod, iPhone or iPad and it will even charge your units while the docking station is turned off. You can also listen to the radio while your phone is charging. Nice.

The sound is bigger/better/louder than the device portrays. The sound is clear with good quality and clarity. You are able to have Pandora Radio. There is also free app for SHOUTcast Radio and WeatherBug. You can also set up FM...Read more

This could have been a 5 star review. It looks great, sounds great, super easy to set up and use but. ...very important- the actuall part where the i pad gets connected is very flimsy! One wrong move and the i pad will fall off probably damaging the connector. I guess for a phone or i touch its fine but no way for i pad.

Imagine how expensive a speaker system would have been 3 years ago with a 10 inch touch sensitive screen, multiple gigabytes of onboard storage for music, photos and video, and support for just about every online music streaming service. Well, I bet it would have been prohibitively expensive, noisy, bulky, and clunky as it would have required hundreds of millions of dollars of R&D to get right. Fast forward to the age of the iPad, and we have this inexpensive speaker system with an iOS docking connector. Pop your iOS device in, download the free RCA app from the App store and you have what would once have been amazing and is now fairly obvious.

As for this speaker system. It's actually pretty nice. I've tried it with a variety of iOS devices in the house: an iPad 2, an iPhone 4S, an iPhone 3G S, a third generation iPod Touch, and it charges all off them with one caveat. It doesn't like some cases, so I had to take my wife's 4S out of her Otterbox case in order to confirm it...Read more
