Summary: Very Effective little Device 2008-09-17
Comment: This is a great little Mp3 player.

This was my first experience with mp3.. 18 month ago and I loved it.
Now, I use it all the time at the Gym and prefer it over other more pricey brands.

Its handy, small, lightweight, fall-proof..
I love the battery feature, no need to recharge ...
I love the drag drop feature... no need to use other software... I like that it recognize folders, so I can group my music my way.

Its ergonomically designed, so it feels very nice and comfortable in my hands. The recorder feature is cool.. and the radio feature is very neat too.

My only complaint -- wish It had more memory and was MAC compatible....

Summary: Not bad for the price 2008-09-10
Comment: I think this is a great mp3 player for the price. It has all the necessary functions and has a simple USB interface. The only downside is that I think the shuffle function is poor so you tend to hear the same songs a lot. Other than that, it's a pretty good mp3 player, especially for the price.

Summary: Great little MP3 Player 2008-07-03
Comment: This is my first MP3 Player and I didn't want to spend a forture. So far, I have nothing bad to say about this little guy. It is easy to use, easy to load and very compact. The sound, even with the included ear buds, is very nice. If you aren't looking for anything crazy, this is a nice addition. FM tuner and voice recorded is an added benefit. You can preset 10 radio stations for easy flipping.

Summary: what you get for price 2007-12-30
Comment: This MP3 player is what I would expect from something of this price. It is probobly the most annoying MP3 player i've ever had. Once you load on your tunes (I found 1 gig to be plenty, about 15 cd's), you turn on your MP3 player, and start to shift through them. There is no organization build into it, and it is oddly organized. From all of your cd's, all of the "track one"s are together, the "track 2"s, and so on, which makes listening a pain. The shuffle feature of very annoying also, because it repeats songs often. It has two listening modes: one by one, or shuffle, and thats it. I had a nice RCA Lyra, which had several modes, and even SRS settings, for a similar price. The sound quality is average. The good thing about it is that it takes AAA batteries, so just get an industrial pack, and keep a few with you, and you should be good for months. Also, it is basically a flash drive, so if you run out of music, it can double as a portable storage device. Practically indesructable, you could probobly smash it with a hammer, and hardly make a scratch... not that i've tried. Sure, i've wanted too, but i've restrained myself so far. Overall, this is an inexpensive alternative to an iPod or Zune (which just dropped in price-Recommended!), although I cannot say you should spend money on it.

Summary: great value! 2007-12-16
Comment: i actually own the 2G which i got on sale for $49 elsewhere but i had to let others know that it is a gem at a bargain price. you get file versatility: mp3, wma, pictures, as well as a FM radio (for the news if you like), and records a short lecture if your buzzed from the night before, and last but not least, it is mac friendly (but not fully functional). it is a flash memory device so you can run with it and it will survive almost any brutal fall (i.e it is wife-proof). so why buy an IPod?........culture & style mostly. also after using both i must admit that the IPod is much better at shuffle and does include a great file search which is not on the Gogear so it does give you more. but is it worth 3 times more???.......not for me but you have to choose for yourself. i didn't give the Gogear 5 stars because the random shuffle is really lousy......repeats the same song pretty often. still i repeat: great value for money!
