Summary: Phillips Go Gear 8GB Aria MP3 Player 2010-05-24
Comment: This is the best MP3 player that I'd ever owned. The sound quallity is excellent. It's easy to carry and operate. Even the earbuds work excellent. I will have lots of fun loading songs onto this 8G player. I've had this player for a while and I'm still discover new features. I recommend this for anyone who'd like a reliable MP3 player.

Comment: Very nice MP3 that works well with Rhapsody, not a lot of frill but thats okay. Must constantly keep it charged, the battery runs out quickly.

Summary: It is as it does and it does what you'd expect 2010-05-12
Comment: I am perfectly content with this product. It was an inexpensive 8gig mp3 player.
I wanted a generic mp3 player that was inexpensive. This device fits the bill perfectly.
Take two seconds to read the instructions.
I went into the settings and changed the files to look like pc files.
The batteries seem to last a long time. The navigation is a little different, but works fine.
Call me satisfied. In fact, highly satisfied.

Summary: Tiny device, easy to use, can see w/out my glasses! 2010-02-16
Comment: I just bought the Aria a few weeks back. I haven't used it a whole lot but so far-- I really like it! I find the navigation pretty simple. It's not touch screen-- fine, no biggie. It was easy to figure out, though. What I really like is the screen is big enough and the text size large enough that I don't need my reading glasses to view it. My biggest complaint-- can't find accessories since everyone seems to design for the iPod. Well, this was half the price of an iPod. I have a stop-gap pouch but really need an exercise armband for this device. The sound is okay-- perfectly fine for my purposes which is exercise and to listen to the radio (NPR-- I like the news). Can't comment on the battery-- I haven't had to recharge it yet but I've used it only 4 hours or so.

Summary: Mine's dead 2010-02-13
Comment: I had to give this thing 5 stars on portability because it is tiny. I guess it wont take up as much room in the trash then. I got this Nov. 8th as a belated birthday gift. That's the only reason I'm not as upset about it dying than as I would be had I actually spent money on it. It lasted all of 3 months, I'm not sure why it died either. One second I'm charging the battery (again) the next it wont turn on at all. Everything is crappy about it, the sound is lacking. I cant quite get the volume in my car or on the headphones to do the songs themselves justice. Some songs you just have to crank up and I was always a little disappointed in that. You cant delete songs without a computer, which sucks a little, The screen is tiny and the back light always went in and out on mine. Mainly it's not the size that counts, its how you use it :) and I couldn't use it when I couldn't see what I was doing. Overall, I'd never buy a Phillips again. This is the second one that has died on me. The first one lasted a few more months than this one, but had all the same problems as this one. I thought the first one dying on me was just a fluke. I'm looking at the Sony Walkman mainly just because of Sony's reputation for quality. I still have my walkman from the 90's, not sure why I felt the need to get Phillips in the first place, I guess because it was cheaper. You get what you pay for.
