Summary: Not Worth It 2008-05-06
Comment: I purchased this product and to be fair, the company sent it quickly and was very good at responding to my calls when I contacted them. More on that in a minute.
The first one I received did not work. I followed the instructions when setting it up and also went to the makers website for further assistance (The FAQ there was not helpful at all) - no luck. I thought I would be getting a good deal on a nice MP3 player to have on my commute to and from work, but it was a case of being too good to be true.
I called the company that sold it (after getting nowhere with the manufacturer, Nextar - dismal customer service there..) and they immediately sent a replacement. The next model did not work either. This was starting to wear on my nerves. I called again and the company apologized and asked if I wanted a refund. Since they were so polite and hassle-free, I decided to give the product one more chance. The third product sent DID work, but after two weeks, stopped working. I gave up on this particular product. The company that sold it was speedy and helpful - it's just a poorly designed MP3 player. I got the impression that they had many complaints about it when talking to customer service.
I would think long and hard about buying anything made by Nextar. "J&R Music and Computer World" on the other hand, was polite, professional, and fast when dealing with all the issues in this transaction. I would buy from them in the future. Just not anything made by the company that dreamed up this piece of junk.
