I have been on a search for a comfortable, light, reasonably priced earphones (with Mic). Formerly for my Blackberry but now for my new Eris. I have read all the reviews about the top of the line Bose, Shure, and others but finally settled on the Skullcandy Full Metal jackets. They arrived and turned out to be without a mic. They were an older-earlier generation that were Iphone compatible BUT with NO mic. I was slightly chapped but went shopping with wife and told myself just return them on Monday. So, I swing by the Verizon kiosk in the mall and see what goodies I can get for my new Eris and find these Shiny blue earphones hanging behind a holster. I start to look them over and see they are only $24.95 so I assume they are without a mic. But the Verizon guy steps over to see if need help and lets me know that they do have a mic and the price is correct. I ask how long can I try them and he says typical 30 days, so I told him to bill me out. I put them on there in the mall...Read more

I've been using these headphones for about 6 months now. The sound quality is good and I can talk on the headset with no problem. There is just one problem.
As you can tell from the picture, when plugged in the connector sticks straight out of the jack. This causes the cord to be bent at a sharp angle if the phone is in your pocket or pressing against something. Even from the time I first bought it, I would lose connectivity if the cord was bent at this point or if I'd fiddle with it. I always try to ensure that the phone is vertical in my pocket. As long as the cord was straight, I would not have any problems. I was able to do this by and large without any problems for 6 months. However, this week I've had intermittent connectivity even when it was straight. I know where the problem is because I need to constantly fiddle with the cord and apply varying degrees of pressure to get it to work properly. I only use it when walking to and from work (about 25 mins each way) and I...Read more

Just over a month ago I ordered these ear buds for my wife; essentially so she would stop stealing mine, which were acquired as a boxed accompaniment to my Motorola Droid R2D2 (MOTA957).
She and I are both finicky about the size and style of most ear bud headsets. Many of the models that share this particular type of design have been found irritating to the tragus (that little nub of cartilage in front of the ear canal), with marked soreness after an unreasonably short period of use. Others, we simply find annoying: whether by some flimsy, misshapen ear hanger that refuses to secure the device snugly; or perhaps worse, those gummy/rubber earplugs that violate the ear canal by administering something akin to a perpetual (non)wet-willy. All things considered, you could say that these ear buds meet the "baby bear" test; just right for our (admittedly fussy) comfort and design preferences.
Despite the comfort, we're not exactly talking bout a Bose-quality sound...Read more
