The 1 GB mobiBLU Cube DAH-1500i will hold approximately 16 hours of CD-quality MP3 tracks (encoded at 128kps) or 32 hours of WMA tracks (at 64kbps). It's compatible with MP3, WMA, and secure WMA DRM (enabling you to play tracks purchased from online stores or downloaded from subscription services). The FM radio offers 20 presets, and it enables you to record FM programming to the Cube's memory. You can also use the built-in microphone and voice recording function to capture interviews, classes, and short voice notes to yourself.
It features five preset equalization modes--Normal / Rock / Jazz / Pop / Classic--and you can also customize equalization to suit your sound. It also offers SRS WOW virtual surround sound for a 3D soundscape and superior bass. The player can play MP3 files saved in multiple folders. Those files and folders can be selected and played as if in a Windows environment. (also nice for yoga and other workouts.)
the drag-and-drop function works easily and quickly, even for a technophobe like myself. sound quality is fine as long as your original files are in good shape. i wish i could figure out the shuffle option for a single folder but it's not breaking my heart. working the buttons is easy for me (small fingers) once i worked with it a few times. simple to work not looking at the cube once you get used to it. as far as battery life, i've never had it last 10 hours continuously - husband says it's a flash player and therefore uses energy even when it's off but i haven't a clue if he's full of it or not. still, it's awfully cool. i'm 35, and the teenage checkout girl at the store yesterday said "wow, what's that - an mp3 player? i've never seen one like that before...Read more 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful: By Orak "PinoyAko" (Virginia, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: mobiBLU Cube DAH-1500i 1 GB Digital Audio Player Blue (Electronics) Flash players are great because they come in such a tiny package. I've got small fingers so I don't mind pressing Mobi's really tiny buttons and reading its really small screen. I have one major complaint about the Mobi: The more stuff you add, the slower the Mobi operates and the faster the battery life depletes. It's supposed to get 10 hours to the charge but on the average, I only get about 4 hours before it completely dies on me. To compensate for the inadequate battery life, I had to convert most of my files to 64kbs, dim the lights on the screen, and keep the capacity level at 700mb. When I do all this, I get about 7 hours to the charge. This is not the kind of mp3 player for people who are out and about for long periods of time (plane, train, car). There are a few positive things to note about Mobi, however: 1. Charge time is only about half an hour 2. The sound is awesome 3. Voice recorder is excellent for class lectures 4. Easy to read the...Read more 6 of 7 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: mobiBLU Cube DAH-1500i 1 GB Digital Audio Player Blue (Electronics) This is not made for comfort first of all. It is so small that you can barely press the buttons on it. Battery life is not that amazing. I used the player on my train rides to school; a total of 2-3 hours per day and battery was already half way! I didn't like using my laptop as a charger. Laptop has to be on and there were times that I didn't want it on. Once charging, the player will automatically begin adding all the music files from the laptop even when you already have the music you want.
It's not one of those players that you just open it and start using without any complications, you do need to refer to the manual for certain things. Like I said, this is NOT FOR COMFORT. The headphone cord it SO short it reaches your chest area only so you can't even put the player in your pockets or bag. This is a stupid design! I did like the light color and the sound is very good, that's about it. Worst of all was that after almost 3 weeks using it, it froze on me. I tried...Read more |
