Memorex 16GB Touch MP3 Player - Blue

I bought this MP3 for my daughter last Christmas. It broke withing a month. The power switch just stopped working. Contacted Memorex and after sending a lot of information back and forth, I sent the defective one back and received a new one. Exact same problem occured again within 2 weeks. Has to be some sort of design flaw. We are now looking for another better quality product for her.

I used to own the Memorex 4GB Touch mp3 Player, and I was really sad when I broke its screen while carrying it around in my backpack. I wanted to replace my old Memorex Touch, because I loved the fact I didn't have to have an odd third party software on my computer to load stuff onto or delete stuff from my player - it uses Windows Media Player, unlike most other players (and after seeing my son's mp3 player, I knew I didn't want "iTunes" on my computer - sorry, Steve Jobs). So, I purchased another Memorex Touch with four times the memory. Everything was great, until the day I got it wet. Someone at work suggested I put my Touch in a bag of rice for a week or two to dry the unit out -- and that worked. Again, I am able to enjoy my Memorex Touch mp3 (wmv player, jpg viewer, FM radio, and e-book reader) Player. I wish Memorex still made the Touch mp3 Player, I would have purchased one each for my children this Christmas.

i bought this mp3 player with hopes of fitting my whole catalog on one device without the pricetag. this was my cheapest route, and man...its cheap. the touch mp received pretty alright reviews with a battery life of 20 hours playing music (haven't tested that) and the sleek design (which i think is pretty awesome.) my blackberry is thicker, plays music waaay better too, plus im scared this thing will shatter like glass if its dropped on a hard surface. unlike the blackberry ;)

at first it works wonderful, the touch screens really neat and i love the jazz station that plays here so the radio was a major plus also the memory card slot was great for extra storage should i have ran out of room. also this device gets extremely loud, i really liked that.

so it finally comes in and i sync all my music on it and that was extremely easy but took FOREVER but not through the devices faults..(i just have alot of music being a musician.)
