This review is from: Latte Communications LPM28GBBLK 8GB MP3 Player With FM Transmitter - Black (Electronics) I am very impressed with this mp3 player. Alot for the money. My favorite feature is the built in fm transmitter. Comes in very clear through the car stereo, and you can program any frequency you want to use unlike other fm transmitters that only give you 5 or 6 choices and you might not find one that doesn't cross with a radio station. Not the case here. Second favorite feature is the external speaker. Pretty decent for a built in, and useful where you don't want your ears plugged up, like in the office. Has a lot of features Amazon doesn't list, like 5 eq presets and a 5 band custom eq setting. Can be used as a voice recorder, sync's music very quickly, and the battery lasts over 8 hours of playback, I used it an entire shift and it still had battery life left. It's rechargeable by connecting to your computer through usb. The menu works like an ipod without the scroll wheel, you can set songs as favorites and use that as a playlist, i'm working on one for the gym. I would recommend...Read more 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By Fuzz "MetaSonic" (Lake Zurich, IL United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Latte Communications LPM28GBBLK 8GB MP3 Player With FM Transmitter - Black (Electronics) First of all, nice unit. Great value. But, you're on your own. The manual is basically: Power On. Play. Limited further useful info. Nothing at the lattefone web site other than a video showing the features, not how to implement them. Not even FAQ's. There does exist a phone number for live tech support, M-F. Good luck finding it.
When I got to the Play part - nothing. Of course, my first unit was defective. Or was it me? Anyways I swapped for another one. It actually played! I dragged some music on it. Cool. Dragged some more. Oops. File Format Error! If I tried to play anything, it went all Chinese (Korean?). The deal is, if you load a "corrupted" file and/or an unsupported format (wma lossless) on, it will quit playing anything. Remove the offender. If that doesn't work. Reformat (full, FAT32). Another important thing they don't tell you: Whenever you add any music or change tags you should hit "Menu", "+" twice and "Menu" to start...Read more By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Latte Communications LPM28GBBLK 8GB MP3 Player With FM Transmitter - Black (Electronics) so i took a big chance on getting this player, being some of the reviews did not seem to fair well for it and the company. for most part, it probably is OEM rebranded players from china or korea but hey enough of that, lets get to the nitty gritty. i've only had a few hours with it so its not going to be a thorough review. when i opened the packaging [which wasn't much really, just a lil plastic that held snug the player and bubble wrap around it and a lil sticker sealing inside it the paperwork] anyway, i was assuming from the pics on the site, it was going to be medium sized but actually its small as hell. i own an iriver s10 and sansa clip+ and its only slightly bigger or at least longer than those two. the packaging didn't come with anything to install and the manual [which is real basic said it didn'r require anything] just plug it to your computer and let it rip. now when it does that it will always search for drivers for on windows based machines in general...Read more |
