with bigger memory, larger LCD screens, and longer battery life. But the price can't be beat. It's very light and pocketable (and I got it for free). It does a good job. Music quality is fine for my ears. It holds enough songs. The controls are fairly intuitive. The mini-CD ROM that comes with it is rather sparse on detail, but it was enough to figure out the basic functions in a few minutes. I'm using rechargeable NiMH batteries, which are probably good for 7-8 hours; alkalines would last longer I figure, but who needs the expense. I'm content popping in another rechargeable in a second and being good to go. I'd like 4 gigs, and a little more flexibility in how folders are accessed. But for the price it's a good little machine. This review is from: JWIN JXMP142 MP3 Player 2 GB (Electronics) I bought this as a supplemental mp3 player for running as my ipod was too heavy and I didn't feel like buying an armband. It's exactly as nice as one would expect for the price...cheap feeling and looking but functional (just to be clear, I paid around 15 dollars for it...I see that the price has currently jumped to $40, which it is IN NO WAY worth). The sound quality isn't amazing, but it's not so much worse than my ipod that it bothers me for running use. So far haven't used it too extensively but the battery life seems to be acceptable at the very least. Again, a good option if you're looking for a dirt cheap mp3 player, but ONLY at the price I paid for it. Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
