Summary: AAA MP3 2010-02-10
Comment: Bought this for backkpacking trips. Sound is good. Buttons are easy to use. Wont be able to put it to a real test til June. Main selling point for me was the battery.

Summary: Awful User Interface 2010-02-07
Comment: I am a seasoned user of audio players, and have been successful with a variety of products (Creative, Apple, Samsung, etc). However, the menu/user interface and navigation capabilities of this product are virtually impossible to use. This product is not worth it at ANY price.

Summary: Good player, terrible menus 2010-01-05
Comment: This mp3 player is a mixed bag

The player that I received from Amazon had a faulty volume control button. So, I contacted jWIN, and they sent me a new one that was fully functional. They have good customer service, but I honestly think that this mp3 player was simply not constructed very well.

The battery life is excellent. In fact, I have never seen an mp3 player last as long as this one. I am using a rechargeable Ni MH battery (which I already had), and it lasts forever. Also, recharging is very convenient, and just in case you run out of juice, you can always pop in another battery. Li batteries don't last forever, so when they die, the mp3 player goes in the trash. You never have to worry about that with this mp3 player, but due to its cheap construction, I think the player won't last forever anyway.

As mentioned by another review, the menu navigation is pathetically confusing on this mp3 player. I actually can use the menus now without much problem, but it took a while to get used to it. If you want to use the menus to switch songs all the time, then buy a different mp3 player. If you don't care about the menu that much, then you'll be fine.

USB on the mp3 player....genius!

sound quality = good (though not excellent)

earphones = terrible (must use different earphones)

Summary: Chinese title friendly, not good for English titles 2009-12-08
Comment: This mp3 player is excellent with Chinese titles, however not for anything in English. "Why is that?" You might ask. "What difference does it make?" It shouldn't be any different but here is description in plain English...

There are four mini buttons on top (Left:Right:Volume (yes, it's one button): Confirm). There is a big button on front display (see image) which is play/pause. The Left button scrolls up and the right button scrolls down. To change volume, press the Volume button and use the Left and Right to increase/decrease volume. I bought it for my personal use to go jogging in the morning; however this thing gives me a headache trying to configure from one song in the folder to the next. Oh, and to make things more painful, the font is MingLiu (open a MS Word document to see what it looks like). After setting up all the songs in each individual folder, I have to press to the Confirm button every time in order to play the song. When I press Confirm, a screen shows "Play now" and "Delete." Every time I have to play a song, I have to press Confirm. "What happens if you press the Play button?" You might ask. Good question! It goes back to the previous screen! Isn't that hectic? When it's playing a song, the "Play/Pause" button will pause the song but if you're at menu, the "Play/Pause" button is basically Backspace. It was tiresome to go from one folder to the next (each folder containing a genre or audiobook). I gave up so I gave it to my dad to use for his Chinese songs. When I thought him how to use it, I noticed the a difference. The play/pause button becomes the Play button when you want to play a song. Hmmmm, that's weird. So if you plan on using this mp3 player with any English titles, prepare to adjust to the complication of this mp3 player.

Facts: Battery life is about 11 hours with a Super Heavy Duty Sunbeam AAA battery. Again, I definitely would not recommend this to anyone using mp3s with English titles.
