The Juice Box Personal Media Player is entertainment in the palm of your hand. Mattel created this amazing, innovative way for you to watch your favorite movies, music videos and television shows whenever, wherever you want. It's one of the smallest and lightest personal media players available. The pocket-sized Juice Box has a high-resolution, full-color, 3-inch LCD screen. Pop in your favorite Juiceware media cartridge (cartridges sold separately), and you're ready to watch your favorite cartoons, TV shows, movies and more. One sample cartridge is included, with content from Cartoon Network and Vans Triple Crown. It also plays downloaded music from MP3 files and displays digital photos, with the help of an MP3 Starter Kit (sold separately). Juice Box also features a built-in speaker and a headphone jack for your own headphones. Go ahead and toss it in your backpack or pocket -- the flip lid will protect the screen from scratches. Unit measures approximately 4" x 5" by 1.5". Requires 3 "AA" alkaline batteries, not included. (A/C power adapter also available separately.)

Summary: So sad it's discontinued 2008-03-16
Comment: I have found another use for this toy. My daughter is non-verbal autistic, and the Juice Box, along with the MP3 starter kit converts into a digital image viewer that my duaghter can scroll through and "choose" what she wants. We use it as a communication tool for her with digital photos. I am heart-broken it's been discontinued as it is such a great device for this specific use. It is also durable enough that we let her take it back and forth to school.

Comment: I bought the Juice Box media player at KB Toys the other day and I am in aw! This thing is really cool. I wanted a PSP for Christmas and when I looked under the tree Christmas day it wasn't there. I remember a few days earlier I was at the mall and I saw Juice Box. It was 15 bucks and I was afraid to get it because I thought it was going to be a piece of junk. A week later we went to the mall to get my sisters ears pierced and I decided to go over to KB toys and get a juice box. When I got home I was blown away.
Pros: This thing plays TV shows, music, and more. It's got a nice, clear color screen and is very durable (you can drop it a lot and it won't break). When you put a cartridge in, you can't pull it out while it's on. It also has a screen protector/stand which is neat. It is so much better than a Video Now because it's smaller, there is a clearer picture, and if you shake it, it doesn't freeze. It plays MP3s, but I don't listen to music much. Finally it's cheaper than a PSP. A lot cheaper!
Cons: There isn't a large selection of movies. There isn't games, and there isn't and feature length films. There isn't a battery charger like the Game Boy SP. There is no attached knife, corkscrew, or bottle opener like my Swiss Army Knife. Lastly the player is discontinued, so they aren't going to make any more movies for it.
Final Verdict: Juice Box is a neat player with some cool gadgets. If you're thinking of getting a Video Now don't get one, they have a poor selection of movies and they are cheaply made. Trust me I have one and I wish I never asked for it. If you got 20 bucks lying around go down to KB toys and pick one up. You won't be disappointed. The one I bought was a bonus pack and it cost 14.99 and it came with seven cartridges, so you have about 5 hours of quality entertainment. It isn't a PSP, but you will have lodes of fun with it and its well worth the price. I'm going to go watch my Juice Box!

Comment: Ok! I didn't actually GET one but I will. My classmate let me watch and mess around with it. It was fun. The ONLY reason I rate the durability and overall 3 stars is because I don't know. I mean it isn't mine. I would not wanna rip it apart to test it through... Okay, that last last last last last... well just last review was a no senser. I mean what the hell (Did I just say that)? It is a 1 and 2 year old, man!! How the hell would a one and two year old make use of that? Just buy leapfrog or something. I mean, seriously!
Okay, so I was saying, Juice Box is like DA BOMB. One of my favorites. It is light light light. You don't have to like OMG carry a heavy Video Now and like a million CD's man. Chyeah, dude. Chips. Tiny chips. All you need to work your Juice Box. All you freaken need. Right? Right.
So yeah, dudes and dudetes, buy B-U-Y Juice Box. I'm not forcing you but its your choice. But I reccomend it HIGHLY. Education is not much but not as bad as Gameboy SP. But its lightweight. And this is my opinion. So yup is yup. Toodles. B)

Comment: OMG!!! When I first got the juice box im like i can watch movies,tv,music videos and more?! THEN when i tried the sample chip im like omg this is like the best thing ever!!!! You cant use the mp3 starter kit on mac though. I have Windows so it works for me! The sound quality is almost better then an ipod; trust me because my friend has one and i have listened to it. and you CAN view digital photos. like i have a bunk bed and i listened to it while i was sleeping and it fell off my bed witch is at the top and it still works!!8) this is the absoulute perfect toy for ages 9-15. so yah. (...)
