Summary: Do not buy this product! 2007-12-23
Comment: Do not buy this product! The first one I ordered was defective and never worked. I had to return it through iriver and their virtually non-existent customer service. I returned it to them and was sent a "refurbished" one FIVE MONTHS later. That one also turned out to be defective and would not even turn on. I will never buy something from this company again.

Summary: Perfect. Just what I wanted. 2007-06-28
Comment: I bought the iriver T10 after researching mp3 players on the internet. I wanted something that would hold a lot of music, but still have a reasonable price. I don't care about videos or pictures. The iriver T10 has met all criteria beautifully. It's small, holds a heap of songs, is sturdy, and is extremely easy to use. I was able to pull it out of the box, transfer some mp3s onto it without any software, and start enjoying my music without even refering to the instructions.
It's a great little mp3 player. I'd highly recommend it.

Summary: Love iRiver 2007-06-17
Comment: Why buy an iPod at 2-3 times the cost when you can get an iRiver that has everything you need in an mp3 player? This was a gift for someone, as I was so pleased with mine. User-friendly, easy to transfer your music files with their program (installation disc included), great sound.

Summary: This mp3 player has a serious case of the awesomes! 2007-06-14
Comment: I'm on my 3rd mp3 player in as many years, after going through an mpio (which all but shattered the 1st time I dropped it) and a Sandisk (didn't break, but I felt it was time to upgrade). I started doing a ton of research on all of the flash players on the market and what they offer for the money.
I chose this model because for the price I paid ($99.00) I get pretty much everything I want. It's got much more solid construction than any of the other comparable flash players, double the amount of memory that I used to have (I went from 1 GB to 2 GB) and I now get about double the battery life since this model takes a AA battery instead of a AAA. I use rechargables, but I won't have to rotate them through the player and the charger as often now and I'm less likely to have one go dead on me while I'm out using it. I also like being able to swap a battery out on the spot instead of plugging the whole unit into a wall for several hours.
The interface was very intuitive for me since it operates much like my old Sandisk, only this one responds faster and has more options and features. If the thought of scrolling through the player to tweak your options doesn't sound like something you want to hassle with, I found that the software gives you access to many of the options and it's much more comfortable to tweak your settings in the software environment. It will apply the settings to the player through the connecting cable provided.
This player comes with manuals for both the player and the software, as well as a quick start guide. They're very thorough, and if you find the learning curve to be steep, it's easy to look up how to do what you want on either the software or the player, however, many of the functions are intuitive if you've ever owned a similar style flash player and I didn't find myself referencing it much at all.
The fm radio is something my old player didn't have, and I plan on checking it out, but I haven't done so yet. According to the manual, you can record directly off the fm feed and it will store the recording in a folder in the player, and you can upload it to your pc later. Very cool. Voice recorder is very useful to me, because I write music and if I have an idea for a song when I'm out somewhere, I can hum a few bars into the recorder and get the idea saved somewhere before I forget it. It will also store and display photos and e-books.
No problem installing the software or getting my pc to find the player. I'm running Windows XP home edition and and I'm using a 2 year old computer. USB 2.0 ports will be needed in order to transfer files to the player at a reasonable speed, but that goes for any player out there.
It didn't come with an arm band, but I don't need one anyway. There's a clip built onto it and if I want to use it hands free, I'll clip it to a belt loop or put it in my pocket.
Basically, I can't find one bad thing to say about this player. I wanted something durable, compact, with at least 2GB of memory, long battery life, multiple features, easy to use, good sound quality, and didn't cost several hundred dollars. This was the only model that met all of those requirements. Every other player was missing at least one thing from the list.

Summary: Great radio and battery life 2007-06-07
Comment: The radio reception in this thing is great, actually better than in the dedicated Sony radio that I used earlier. Battery life is also good, one AA keep it going "forever" if it's only seeing 30-60 mins daily use. Sound, and handling of stored music is OK I suppose.
Downsides that I've found:
1) you really need to use the button lock mode, or it'll start playing by itself in your pocket or bag.
2) the "handy" clip isn't so handy, particularly not when running. The unit ends up danging against your body in a very annoyinng way. For a casual stroll it does OK though. It also fits better face in, which makes access an viewing the display awkward.
3) the available cover doesn't work too well together with a belt either, the unit protrudes and wiggles around quite a lot.
