Amazon.com Product Description

Light as a feather and small enough to fit on your key chain, the 128 MB iRiver iFP-180T flash memory digital audio player offers multi-format capability, a built-in FM tuner, and the ability to make voice and FM recordings while on the go. It features a sleek, silver/gray triangular design that's just a little over 3 inches tall and weighs only 1.1 ounces. The player has a 4-line, backlit LCD and a joystick for navigating through songs or control volume, forward, and reverse. It runs on a single AA battery (which provides up to 20 hours of power).

It's compatible with MP3, WMA, and ASF audio formats, and you'll get about 4 hours of digital music storage (depending on the bit rate that the digital files were created). In addition to digital audio, you can listen to your favorite radio broadcasts. With the Record from FM feature, you can record live radio and then transfer it to your PC. It also has a built-in microphone and con function as a digital voice recorder. Additionally, you can use the 128 MB memory for data storage, handy for transferring files from PC to PC. Summary: Great player 2007-04-04
Comment: This player does what it says it will do. It has some nice features, the sound quality is good and it was easy to use. The 128 megs holds just under 2 hours worth of songs and I usually take it with me on flights.

Summary: An old but still fashionable machine 2007-01-23
Comment: When I bought this a year ago, it was even more expensive than what now I got the T10 512MB for. T10 lasts longer, looks more fancy with colored body and colored LCD display. But for some reason, I like 180T even more.

Sychronizing MP3 to T10 is a pain. The T10 went dead now and then when connected via USB to my IBM T40 laptop. Struggling for an hour, I got only three songs in.

Comment: This mp3 player doesnt hold too many songs..........but it definitly is great quality.

mine was accidently put in the washing machine and dryer--it came out with no problems

the radio and voice record work very well and if you dont mind not having a lot of songs, this mp3 player is definitly right for you

Summary: Okay at first..... 2006-07-03
Comment: I got this MP3 at a Black Friday sale and I was absolutly thrilled with it...until the end broke off. The end where the battery was broke off one day and wouldn't stay on. I now have to hold it in place with rubber bands. Now, the player will constantly shut off whenever it moves the slightest bit. The radio, however(before it broke)was great, the organization of the files was good and the mic worked okay if you talked straight into it. Overall, this was okay for the money I paid for it, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Summary: An mp3 player for people who don't need a lot of music. 2006-02-28
Comment: I have owned this mp3 player for the past six months now, and I have been very satisfied with the playback quality, the long battery life (20+ hours on a single AA), and its portability. It's only about twice as thick as a AA battery and can fit in a pocket easily. The FM tuner comes in really handy, because I can listen to the radio at work and switch to my music collection when I'm tired of that. Another advantage is that you can download a special driver from the iRiver website and use the IFP-180T as a disk drive in Windows, and it will automatically recognize playable music types (mp3, wma). This way, you don't have to use any proprietary software to upload music to the device (just open it like any folder in Windows) and copying music to your PC is uninhibited (unlike Apple's iPod and iTunes, which doesn't let you copy music to the computer).

The menu system, though not as intuitive as other products, is easy to learn, though the short stubby joystick can be a pain to operate. Also, the earbuds that come with the player are very cheap and the earpads keep slipping off. I felt the iPod earbuds were better in comparison. It would be a good idea to get upgraded earbuds that are more comfortable, at least. Another downside is the comparatively low 128 MB storage space. I like to hear my songs in high quality (256 kbps and higher) so I can't fit any more than about 15 songs on the player, but that doesn't bother me too much, since it's so inexpensive to begin with.
