iLuv i151 Bluetooth TX Dongle for iPod and MP3 Players

I've had this device for over a year now. I don't use it a lot currently but wanted to just post a quick review. One of the selling points for me was that this little plastic ring around the base is removable. Since my iPod is always in a hard case, all I had to do was remove the ring and it provided enough extension to allow the dongle to attach to my ipod.

For connectivity and sound. I know typical bluetooth rand is 33feet but there's times where I'm biking with the ipod in my pocket or a thin bag on my back, and reception will cut in and out. I'm using Jabra 620s' I think and I'm not sure if it's the cans or the transmitter. I've used the headphones several times attached to my phone with less connectivity/interruption issues so I'm going to point my finger at the problem being with the transmitter.

I purchased this product about a year ago from a different website. I wanted the ability to use my Motorola MOTOROKR S9 with my ipod. There was a significant amount of skipping; I thought it was the fault of the headphones so I purchased the iskin TX and F1. The F1 headphones are exactly what I needed. I paired the Motorola headphones with the iskin TX one day when my F1 was charging and that's when I realized it wasn't the fault of the headphones. After charging my F1s I synced them with the iluv dongle and immediately noticed the difference. The audio stream began to skip if I moved farther than a foot or two. I put the ipod in my back pocket and wet for a walk down the hall; I didn't make it but a few steps before I just unplugged the thing and replaced it with the TX indefinitely.

The only reasons I am giving the product two stars is, it was cheaper than the TX + F1 combo, and if you sit it on your desk and don't move much, it works.
