Summary: Don't by Cowon products... 2008-09-06
Comment: I have been thoroughly disappointed with their products and lack of customer service. They average about 2-3 weeks to return an email for customer service issues. I finally got through to a representative and was advised to send the product back to them, at my own expense and they emailed back about 1 month later stating that there is no problem with the item. When I emailed back with a detailed description of the specific situation I encountered (item stopped powering on or charging through the USB port) they ceased communication. I still haven't heard back from them, but will never buy their products ever again. They are terrible both at manufacturing and caring for their customers.

Summary: more practical than ipod 2008-08-12
Comment: I have had the U3 for about 1.5 years now. It performs flawlessly and easy. I use it to commute and exercise. I have dropped it several times without any damage. Most important for me, it can plug and play on any pc as it works easily with mediaplayer. You don't have to download anything to play it as long as you are on a pc. My friends at work who have an ipod are not able to do this at all and are stuck using their headphones and draining their battery on their ipod. I can listen to my U3 all day while connected to my pc and it is charging while I am listening to it. It may not be as trendy as an ipod, but if you are a practical person, and want a great mp3 player at a fair price, this is the one for you. If you want to waste money and have what everyone else has, just so you can keep up with the Jonses, than by all means buy an ipod.

Summary: Be Aware! No Customer Service 2007-11-12
Comment: The iAudio 2 GB was an excellent product while it worked. However, after about three months, sound would short out. At first I could get it to work again by simply twisting the ear-phone plug but within a week, the sound would not work at all. Even though this item is offered with a 1 year warrenty, there seems to be no way to contact the company for warrenty, or any other service. No phone number or address is given, emails were not answered at first and later emails were returned as undeliverable.

Summary: Awesome little machine 2007-05-08
Comment: Not being a technophile I really like my iAudio. Being able to access it like a removable memory device simplifies things and my media player can also link to it with its software. The sound quality is good, although I'm using cheap ear buds right now in the gym instead of the ear buds that came with it. My only complaints are: other than the quick start manual that came with it there are no instructions, it took me forever to figure out how to get it to shuffle within a folder and I still haven't figured out how to get it to play video clips. I made a mistake and didn't get the clear plastic sleeve/holder when I ordered it and got the black armband, which is useless without the clear plastic holder. I don't want to pay more shipping than the sleeve is worth so I haven't purchased it yet. Fortunately it is light enough to slip into a pocket or hold without any problem. We hooked it up to my friend's stereo system for a party and it played for 8 straight hours (we went through the folder of music a couple of times but no one seemed to notice).
