Elegant, but maybe not quite as elegant as the alternative,

The Diamond MSP100R Mini Rockers Mobile Speakers are capsule speakers that fit together magnetically. If you twist the top of each speaker it will expand, thus increasing bass. The speakers connect to one another via a retractable cord that's hidden in the base of one of the speakers. On the other speaker there is another retractable cord that will plug into your music player. A third cable that comes with the set is used for charging the speakers when their battery is low (as indicated via a blue/red light on one of the speakers). This cord plugs into a USB port on one end and one of the speakers on the other end. (You can still play music while charging the speakers.)
If this sounds confusing, it sort of is. There are at least two cords to deal with every time you want to hook the speakers up, and a third cable that you're responsible for not losing. In theory, having retractable cables fitting snugly into the base of the speakers seems like a good...Read more

These speakers are very cool for what they are and they've clearly put a lot of though into this. Just don't expect booming sound cuz it isn't scientifically possible. Deep, rich sound needs large coned speakers and solid casings to help reverberate. But don't get me wrong, these have decent sound for the class they're in so I'll review them on that level.
What I like most about the Mini Rockers is the design. The whole unit is a bit bigger around than an empty toilet paper roll and a little shorter. The first thing I noticed is the feel of the Rockers. It's kind of velvety to the touch which gives it an elegant feel. I think it's a subtle rubber coating or something, not sure. Whatever it is, I like it. It makes the unit feel nice in the hand and the shape and size is perfect too.
The Rockers are held together magnetically and split apart in the middle to separate into 2 stereo speakers. This in itself is very cool. Most portable speakers meant for...Read more

This product has nothing but rave reviews from the "experts". Who are the "experts"? My teen Granddaughter and a number of her friends. They are lining up to buy one because its sound is so great. At least 7 people are planning to buy one for themselves after seeing this one and listening to its sound quality.
UPDATE: I had to add another to the list of those who want one of these. My Daughter told me she wanted me to get her one for her Birthday so I did. She was happy as can be with it, but was upset that my Granddaughter swiped hers (she wanted a Black one) and gave her my Red test unit instead. What do you expect from kids?
I can't think of a higher praise for a product than to buy another one, which I did.
UPDATE 2: Now my other Daughter asked me to get her one for Christmas and her son (my Grandson) also wants one for Christmas. I am sure when my other Grandson sees it, he will want one also. So that means I have to buy at least 3 more and maybe 4 since I...Read more
