The micro-sized, coolly styled Zen Micro Photo digital audio player/photo viewer lets you watch slide shows of your favorite digital images on its stunning, high-intensity 1.5-inch OLED screen while listening to an MP3 or WMA soundtrack. The Zen Micro Photo's vibrant, cutting edge OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) screen looks terrific and draws less power than conventional LCD displays. It displays 262,144 vivid colors, ensuring that every picture is sharply detailed and extraordinarily clear. Using revolutionary display technology, you can now view photos from any angle. In addition, the vertical touch pad makes navigation easy, and the micro-sized player offers a curved design that fits ergonomically in your hand. The Zen Micro Photo is compatible with MP3, WMA, Janus, WAV, and IMA ADPCM digital audio files (including DRM protected PlaysForSure WMA files from online stores and subscriber services), as well as JPEG image files. The player also features a built-in FM radio with 32 preset stations and the ability to record directly off the radio, so you can capture your favorite songs and live radio interviews. And if the default sound isn't quite right, choose from the Zen Micro Photo's custom EQ or eight pre-loaded EQ settings, which include acoustic, classical, disco, new age, vocal, pop, rock, and jazz.

The Zen Micro Photo syncs beautifully with Microsoft Outlook, so you can organize appointments and business contacts or even wake up to your favorite song. Additionally, the Zen Micro Photo can be used as a USB mass storage unit, allowing you to safely store your important presentations and documents and transfer them to another PC.

Finally, the removable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 12 hours of continuous playback time, and can be charged via a USB connection to your computer or the included USB travel charger.

Comment: this seem like a good player when i bought it. when i got it from the company, the player didnt work, the cd manual disc was bent in half and nothing was good about it. maybe i should've bought it from someone else....

Comment: Overall a good product. I had some hard disk errors at one point where I had to take the battery out to get it to turn off. It kept saying "rebuilding library" and then freeze part of the way through- but it seemed fix itself. The touch pad works well. The packaged software it a little weak, but does have some good points to it. For the money it's a good MP3 player.

Comment: I wanted an MP3 player and considered a number of brands but was looking for something from Creative, just not too pricy. This one offers a color screen which was a plus. The screen is a little difficult to see in some types of lighting, so consider than when deciding on this MP3. The ability to move from screen to screen is very sensitive to the touch, although you can adjust the sensitivity. You may find from time to time if you touch it too much you move very fast from screen to screen. Need to be careful with this one. I have no problem with this MP3 because I have adapted to how it works. I felt 4GB was sufficient space for the amount of music I wanted to have on the MP3. I just wanted a good basic MP3 for walking and going to the gym. Downloading of music is a snap, so you should not have any problems with this task. So far, so good, I have not experienced any major problems with this MP3.

Comment: My 14 year old son received this for xmas last year and by the summer it was broken, he really takes good care of his things so we were very disapointed. this year he's getting an ipod, my husband and I are both ipod users and after this experience I think we will remain loyal to ipod.

Summary: seemed great at first.....then broke..... 2007-11-07
Comment: I thought this was a really nice mp3 player when I first got it. But the more I use it, the more I hate it!!! Half the time the buttons/scroll are way too sensitive and the other half of the time they won't work until the tenth try - very frustrating. I do not like the whole menu setup in general either. It seems to have too many steps to do things. I hated it even more after I tried out someone's ipod nano. The ipod made this seem even more bulky and heavy. Sometimes the USB won't work either. It won't charge or my computer won't recognize it to download music until the third try. Then to top it all off, right in the middle of it playing music it just froze! No matter what I did it stayed frozen, I couldn't even get it to shut off. Then like an hour later the screen went blank yet the "on" switch was still lit up. The creative website showed how to boot it in format mode after removing the battery. This seemed to work but now ALL of my music and data are gone so I have to start all over again. This happened after just minimal use too! I have read that others keep having this happen a lot after the first time. And what's more.....I would have to pay $25 just for them to look at it because it has been more than 90 days. That is ridiculous! It's their issue to resolve, I didnt make it malfunction. Needless to say I will be asking my husband for an Ipod for Christmas! (and throwing this one in the trash)
