I had been using the EP-630's prior to purchasing the EP-650's. I figured these were going to be better sounding since the EP-650 is a slight step up. But no, these are actually pretty horrible and very disappointing. They have way to much bass and the vocals sound distant. And now they rattle when I am playing a song with bass in it. The only plus was that they came super duper quick.

I recommend these for a commuter who always listens to music because they are comfortable, sound great (they block a lot of outside noise as well) and are reasonably priced. $50 might sound expensive for earbud headphones but its not. To compare, Apple headphones, the ones that come with iPods and iPhones cost $35 and are significantly lower quality.

This can be compensated by lowering the treble on your musical device (assuming you can do that). The point is, without high quality audio files (320k+) and without bigger speakers, this is the best audio experience you can get with earbuds. If you want lots of bass, go with bigger headphones and avoid earbuds.

I ride public transportation for almost 2hrs/day and I'm always listening to something with my iPhone. I bought...Read more

This is the second pair of headphones that I have had from Creative Labs. I've found that the audio fidelity is nearly as good as those costing twice as much, but the CL headphones are considerably more durable. A very good value.

It may be of value for others to know that the cord length is slightly longer than typical for this type of headphone. Occasionally this can be an advantage as well.
