The LED lights up, and that's about all this adapter does. The bulky adapter that I wanted to replace is rated at 500mA, and it will run my Creative ZEN Vision: M, and charge it up at the same time.
This mini-charger, on the other hand, which claims 700mA, cannot even run the ZEN. Even though I have the mini-charger plugged into it, the ZEN runs its battery down. So this piece of junk mini-charger was a waste of money.
It also has a different appearance from the picture. The one I got has a silver face plate.

I purchased this USB car charger to charge my devices while I am driving in my car. It did not work on my cell phone, iPod, or camera. My devices batteries died and have since purchased a new USB charger that works with all my devices.

DON'T buy this converter ... I measured the output voltage and it's almost 160 volts, AC, peak-to-peak (read comments to understand how this can even be possible). It should have been a constant +5V DC (as USB dictates), not a +/-80V AC. Up/downconvertors are difficult to screw up but they managed to do it nevertheless ... If you don't believe me, please see the attached customer images. I measured this in our labs and the electrical engineer within me didn't want other folks burning their devices ...
