Amazon.com Product Description

The Buslink Musica MP3 player is so small and lightweight, you'll hardly know it's there, yet it still packs all the audio punch you need for working out or commuting. The compact device holds up to 2 GB of audio files--enough for 64 hours of WMA or 32 hours of MP3 music. As an alternative, users can store text documents, digital photos, and other data files on the Musica, in effect turning the device into a portable flash drive. Just connect it to a PC or Mac via the high-speed USB 2.0 interface and you're set. And because the Musica has no moving parts, it's 100 percent skip-free, making it a great audio accessory for active listeners.

Other details include a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery that runs for up to nine hours per charge and a set of earbud earphones. The Musica measures 0.95 by 4 by 0.42 inches (W x H x D) and carries a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

Summary: Not bad 2006-11-03
Comment: Small size, but works as intended. The only drawback I initially saw was there was no OFF switch/button. You have to PAUSE the songs, then after some default time-out period (maybe 30-60 seconds??) it will then turn off. I am still researching a problem about only getting about 500MB of usable space on the player though. But creating a playlist in Window MediaPlayer seems to be the best method of organizing your MP3s.

Summary: I like it 2006-09-01
Comment: Go ahead and throw the headphones away and get a decent pair. The MP3 player has good volume, good battery life and has been flawless for me, I also use it as a thumb drive at work. It holds a ton of stuff. I like it. If it had a display it would be a solid 5 stars.

Summary: Manage expectaions. 2006-07-26
Comment: I wanted a player that had a rechargable battery and could function as a USB drive. That's what I got. Plug it in to a USB drive and Windows XP recognizes it as a removable drive. Drag MP3 (or WMA) format files to the drive and your music is there. (Note that it does not support any other playback formats). Leave it plugged in to the USB drive and the battery will charge (since that point isn't clear in the Product Description. There is no external charger. Everything I needed was in the package). Sound quality with the included earbuds is fine. Tracks can be played in order or randomly. The order is related to file names but the only way to pick a particular track is to select the next track and then listen to it to determine if it is the right track or not. Thus this player is most useful if you are willing to use random play order or only store a small number of tracks on it.

This is exactly what I wanted - a 2GB flash drive that will play MP3 files, not require batteries and work on any computer with USB support with no software to install. It does all that well, so far, hence 5 stars. However, if you are looking for an MP3 player you might be happier with one that had more features such as support for other file formats, support for digital rights management, a way to display song titles and a fast way to navigate. The fact that your PC is the charger may also be a problem if you want to load it up and get away from computers for a week. Still, I got exactly what I wanted and I'm happy.

Summary: No description on how unit power is re-charged! 2006-07-22
Comment: Haven't bought yet, because there is no explanation on how the buyer will recharge the battery/power. Do I have to buy additional charging products, or would I have to plug it into a pc to be recharged?.. It needs to ship with its own charging unit, so one can charge while traveling in one's vehicle. Hope Buslink isn't too cheap to include a charging unit.

Summary: ZERO STARS!!!!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!! 2006-07-19
Comment: I'm editing my review (can't change the rating!!)! Like i said, the first day i got it as soon as i opened it, i plugged it in the usb hub. Next thing, the computer detects it...installs it and that's it. Later that day..i didnt know how to turn it off..so i let it stay with the power on. A few hours later..i plugged it back in the usb hub and the computer didnt detect it and that lasted for a day. Because i didnt detect it, i couldnt charge it. After hitting the thing against my desk a lot of times...the next day i plugged it again..and IT WORKED!!!
I cant say it worked PRETTY GOOD...cos it didnt! But it kinda worked! As a flash drive i didnt have any problems...
About 2 months later, one day IT STOPPED WORKING!!! And it hasnt worked ever since! So i bought Sony NW-E005F 2 GB Flash Digital Music Player.
A REALLY SMART PURCHASE compared to the buslink mp3 player.

Nevertheless...in case yours works:
PROS: good sound! i didnt expect that much from a tiny thing!
Size is fine. Great for data storage. Fast transfer rate.

CONS: The earbuds are crappy. They broke like a month later. It didnt work at first...and later on IT BROKE 4 good.

I TOTaLLY REGRET BUYING IT! The most stupid purchase i've EVER MADE!!!
I DO NOT recommend this thing!!! I expected more from buslink. I guess trying to save a few bucks was a stupid idea...cos i ended up spending MORE money to get a new mp3 player!!! I'm glad it broke...COS IT WAS UGLY!!!!!!!!
