I purchased this item due to the positive reviews posted. Maybe the other reviewers received a functional cable or they are not aware of this problem. The left and right channels are reversed on the cable I received. I noticed the reversal when I played "Take Five" by Dave Brubeck's Time Out album on my iPhone 4. The piano iwas playing on the left instead of right and the drums were on the right instead of left. Moreover the bass which is centered sounded like is was coming from the bottom of the vehicle. I then played some test tracks from an audiophile album and confirmed the reversal. I compared it with my home audio and another cable to confirm the reversal. I love the concept of combining the USB and audio cables into one but I only gave this one star because at least for me the reversal of the channels is something I cannot live with. This thing works well. Nothing special really - it's not very expensive and does exactly what it's supposed to. I've had it for a little over a month now and no problems with it yet.

This is a fairly good connector and serves the purpose. There are two problems (that I can live with)... First the pin connector is like the old ipod one where it just does not slip out but has to be disingaged by pressing on the sides. Secondly the music (from my iphone) keeps playing even when I turn the car off. This did not happen with the monster accessory where it stopped and I did not have to worry about stopping the music manually when I turned the car off. Otherwise this is fairly good, cheap and gives awesome music quality.[...]
