Update, wow somehow I was able to get it to ship to me as before with an APO address, for what reason I don't know. But finally got it. There is a sewn in captive ribbon so you can slide it in from either side. It fits nice and snug and seems like it will protect my investment. Glad I finally got this cover.

This is a really nice slip case but...I noticed a few light scratches on my screen after I got this case and I think this case is the cause. I got a screen protector to eliminate the problem but that is a pretty big flaw. I also think the band that is sewn on the inside to keep the A5IT from sliding out the other end is pretty bad idea (it's probably the cause of the scratches). Why not just sew the other end shut? The A5IT fits so snugly that it's also a little difficult to get the it out of the case once you've got it in there. You can't just pull it out, you've got to push it out (small complaint, really). All in all, it's a pretty nice case but I guess I'd rather have one that opens for you to put the device in rather than slide it in.
Good device, poor battery life.,

It actually gets about 1/3 of that amount.
First thing to know about buying an archos is that it does not come with the typical Google apps that you would see on an android phone like the G1 or Moto Droid. Ie Google Docs, Voice, Maps, Tasks, Latitude or most importantly, The Android Market.
Instead you are forced to get your applications from Archos's store. AppsLib.
Not a bad selection of Apps but the android market has 70,000 apps to download and AppsLib does not have 2% of that.
Most all of the typical applications you would want to install can still be installed directly from the developers website. But their are a few that you will have to search for.
