Even though I haven't had much use for it so far, having the ability to put my favorite shows on it is great. The screen has a great picture and the music sounds great, having the radio is a huge plus too. I have not had any problems with the transmitter being weak like some other people have stated, you just have to tune it correctly. I would recommend it for anyone looking for something different than an Ipod. However, if your main purpose is to use the FM transmitter to play through your car you will be disappointed. Sometimes it plays OK, other times it has interference that makes it unuseable and yes, I know the headset must be plugged in and volumes need to be tweaked. Just not what I expected. Other than that I like it's sound and the display is very good. It took awhile to figure out how to download custom playlists but now that is fine. In doing this I suggest simply bypassing the Windows Media Player and work solely out of your "My Music" files. The little manual that comes with it doesn't do it justice; there are more capabilities that you can discover on your own or in the right forums. It amazes me on how well the little thing can play movies, and of course I expected it's great performance on various music formats.
Some features only seem to have the most basic functionality, like the microphone and FM transmitter seem weak, and the camera/video taking isn't terribly sharp. And it can be hard at times to navigate audio books. But maybe I haven't gotten it tuned up optimally... I found right away that some of the default settings were directed toward another continent. Pretty happy for the price though. |
