Comment: I bought this product for a gift to my 10years old child. As it was his 1st personnal product of this type, he loves it. But... I can say, there are a few things I don't like:
* The buttons are so hard, that after playing a while, you would like to change... your fingers.
* The sound quality is too poor. The external speaker is terrible, and the headphones provided, are terrible. A lot of noise even the 1st time I used them.
* When I plug the device to the computer, Windows recognize 2 different drives for it. Smells fishy. I read that this could happen when you have a smaller unit formated as 1 GB... Not sure, but be carefull.
* If you have another device as drive E or drive F, you will need to disconect them, because the software included in the device, recognices only this letters as available for this product.

Comment: After shopping around for a mp4 player, I found this. Let me start off by saying, that this is the review of a high school student. So, what is relevant for me, might not be for you.
Pros:
Screen-2.8 inches of pure awesome!You won't be confusing the screen for some high def. HD player, but it more then gets the job done. Clear, relatively high FPS (for the size) and bright enough.
Features-TONS OF FEATURES. Built in dictionary, calculator, camera, NES game player, SD/MMC slot, all just the tip of the iceberg. I'd go so far as to say this has the best price-feature ratio of anything I've even seen on amazon.
Size-Just barely wider then the screen, and when closed, just about as tall. Not some sort of 1" cube by no means, but it's compact and small size is a definite plus WITH SUCH A HUGE SCREEN
Cons:
Music Quality-Not the best...but certainly not really "bad" persay. I'd rate it just below average for MP3s. movies still sound oddly clear, and the games sound just the way I remember them. Not for audiophiles though
Controls-Hard to press buttons and a difficult time reaching them make playing action games like megaman difficult. However, FF2 ran like a champ.
So, overall, GREAT PRODUCT. Some short comings, but nothing bad at all really. Well, maybe the mp3 quality...but yeah. Looking for something to occupy your highschool kid? does he want an ipod? Just get him this and show him how it's got a bigger screen, better software, expandable memory, cheaper, better video, and can also display .txt files of books, help him spell, and help him in class with math homework. And he'll love the external speaker for when he's with his friends.
